Samsung unveiled its latest G600 phone and is to back it with a £3m multi-channel ad campaign.

The G600 is positioned as a fashion phone and will feature a glossy ad campaign which extends online.

The phone, which will be available globally, is to ship in the UK from August.

The new model has a 5 mega-pixel camera and Samsung claims to have agreed a deal with an as-yet-unnamed online digital development retailer to allow customers to print their pictures easily.

This week Samsung overtook Motorola as the world’s second largest handset manufacturer behind Nokia in the second quarter of the year.
