3 unveils Skype internet phone
The UK Mobile operator 3 has teamed up with Skype to launch a new 3G internet phone that will let you make free internet calls and send free text messages.The operator already offers access to free Skype calling through an application for its X-Series phones.
“This is the first time,” says 3, “that an operator has offered a mass market device which is tailor-made for free calling over the internet from a mobile”.
Skype-to-Skype calls will be free from a 3 Skypephone as long as you are on a paid-up contract or have PAYG 3 credit topped up monthly. In the UK, the 3 Skypephone will cost £49.99 on a PAYG tariff. It will be free as a contract option.
Beyonce Special Edition B’Phone from Samsung
Samsung today announced the upcoming availability of the Beyonce Special Edition B’Phone, a limited edition handset and update to the popular UpStage. The B’Phone showcases a dual-sided design to optimize music capabilities with the look of an MP3 player on one side and a phone on the other.
The B’Phone is crafted in sophisticated burgundy and gold colors to complement the style and glamour of the Grammy-winning artist. The B’Phone comes complete with a preloaded special Beyonce-styled start-up screen. Consumers who purchase the B’Phone will receive exclusive access to load premium video and music onto their handsets including exclusive Beyonce photo gallery and videos, as well as a childhood song from Beyonce at age 10.

Samsung i550, Samsung i560 and Samsung i780 launched
Samsung Mobile has announced the launch of three new models to its ; the Samsung i550, Samsung i560 and Samsung i780.
We’ve seen some of these models before as sneak peaks, or other territory launches, but this marks their official announcement for the UK market.
These new phones are described by the company as design-inspired ultra-smart mobile devices to provide the ultimate in advanced mobile communications and convergence, both at work and at play.
The Samsung i780 runs Windows Pocket PC, while the Samsung i550 and Samsung i560 are both based on Symbian’s S60 software.

iPhone Full of Hazardous Chemicals
Staunch environmentalists from Greenpeace International are calling on Apple to launch a recall or “take-back policy” on the iPhone, which is set for its European debut, after finding out that it contains hazardous chemicals.
Folks over at Greenpeace disassembled an iPhone, which can be viewed here, and they are claiming to have “uncovered two types of hazardous substances, some of which: ‘Have already been eliminated by other mobile phone makers,’ the organization said.

Sony Ericsson launches scented mobiles
Have you often wished your mobile smelt like apple pie? No, us neither, but someone, somewhere must have made that wish as Sony Ericsson has launched a line of smelly mobile phones that include that very scent.
The DoCoMo SO703i from Sony Ericsson includes GPS, TV, media player is available with the option of no less then 11 fragrances - including the aforementioned dessert - guaranteed to keep whiffing for 3 months.
The scents are released from a replaceable strip located near the central hinge and can be replaced when they stop smelling.
Nokia N95 to come bundled with Spider-Man 3 Movie

Nokia has started shipping the Nokia N95 8GB multimedia computer and, to celebrate its launch, Nokia has teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to offer a Nokia N95 8GB which comes pre-loaded with the full-length feature film in Europe and selected countries in Middle East and Africa region.
The new N95 has a sleek black look (just like Spidey!) and its enhanced powers include up to 8GB internal memory, a 2.8-inch QVGA display and “superior” speakers.
