T-Mobile UK offers free WiFi with web’n'walk plus or pro plans
by Julie ~ January 13th, 2008. Filed under: News.T-mobile has launched a speical offer for new users who sign up for web’n'walk plus or pro plans. With each of the two plans, users also get free access to over 1,200 T-Mobile HotSpots in the UK.
They are largest provider of public WiFi in the world, T-Mobile is the first UK Mobile Broadband operator to offer access to a WiFi network as part of a mobile broadband price plan. With price plans starting at £12.50 per month (when connecting with a Flext mobile contract), this service will give you access to the internet through using your laptop. Additionally, it lets you access the WiFi network on a huge range of locations like Starbucks coffee shops, airports,train stations, motorway service stations and hundreds of other locations in the UK.
If you don’t have a T-Mobile’s web‘n’walk price plan, access to WiFi costs from £5 for 60 minutes (one off or occasional access), £10 per month for subscription or £20 per month for those without a T-Mobile phone.
The new deal means T-Mobile and 3 will integrate their 3G radio access networks (the mobile masts and the infrastructure that connects to each operator’s core network), creating Europe’s most extensive HSDPA network.
