Vodafone Roadmap 2008 All phones Leaked
We are only seven days into the new year and six new phones have appeared on the internet. BGR has had access to Vodafones roadmap for 2008 and it shows the following phones are to be released on the Vodafone :
The Palm Wanda is “high-tier,” runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and will be launched in September 2008 as the successor to the Treo 500v.it features a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE with 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, it has a 320×240 display, a 2 megapixel camera and it has a in-bulit GPS.
The Nokia Dora is an e65-like sliderphone with Wifi and GPS, it can be yours for £280 price tag, it features a 3.2 megapixel camera, and 3.6 Mbps HSDPA. It has a 320×320 display, microSD card slot and quad-band GSM.
RIM’s Blackberry Pearl 2, the 8110, isn’t priced yet, but will have quad-band GSM, a 240×260 display, a 2 megapixel digicam and bluetooth. It also has trackball navigation and Blackberry’s distinctive 2-letters-per-number keypad.
The ODM v16xx is a slab-like QWERTY smartphone with a budget price ($250 or so), 2.5G data and a 1.3 megapixel camera: it looks kind of like a Moto Q but a year late. Or two years late, since it won’t appear until September 2008.
The HP Silver, to be offered in July for about £250, is a 7.2 Mbps HSDPA phone featuring Windows Mobile 6, a 320×240 display, RIM-style “suretype” keys, GPS and WiFi.
The Nokia Liam replaces the E61i, being “narrower and more stylish,” according to the spec sheet. Specs are what you’d expect of a next-gen MOR smartphone: QWERTY keyboard, 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, 320×320 display, GPS and WiFi. The 3.2 megapixel camera offers a third more pixels than Nokia could have gotten away with offering, but no price has been determined for this Q2 Vodafone model yet.
The rumored BlackBerry 9000 turns out to be “merely” another entry in the 8000 series, albeit one that’s “built on a brand new platform utilising the Tavor chipset providing blazing performance.” It’ll be sold in the UK from May 2008, sporting quad-band GSM and 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, a 624 Mhz CPU, super-high rest 480×320 display, a full QWERTY Keyboard and a 2 megapixel camera.

Nokia E71 is the new successor to the Nokia E61 according to Mobile-Review. It will have a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, weigh 120 grams and be only 57 x 112 x 10 mm; a hell of a lot less wide than the E61i at 70 mm.
These rumors are made by Badger who has a consistent track record of having high quality sources.

New Blackberry with angular keypad?
This an angled keyboard where all the keys remain on place, but are just more nicely packed. While we’ve already seen something similarly designed phones in the past, something tells us the BlackBerry maker will know what to do with it.
Windows Mobile 6.1 Is Coming Out Soon
Windows Mobile 6.1 is coming, hopefully in the next couple of weeks straight after Xmas. Microsoft are tight lipped on this matter but someone leaked a Motorola phone with the updated wm6.1 on it. Enjoy the video from BGR :
Nokia’s 8800 Arte and Sapphire Arte for the wealthy
Nokia has unveiled two special editions of its 8800 phone, we all know anything to do with the nokia 8XXX series are premium rated product’s aimed at the most discerning and style-conscious consumers (wealthy).
The Nokia 8800 slider have a seamless metal and glass body styling and some haptic interface tricks. Turning the phone screen-side down silences and incoming call. Tapping the steel surface under the screen makes an analog clock appear on the screen. The Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte come with exclusive videotrack and soundtrack composed by Kruder & Dorfmeister with visuals by Fritz Fitzke.
In addition to the 3G capabilities and 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, the Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte boast a stunning OLED display and 1 GB built-in memory space. A unique silencing mechanism is activated when the phone is turned over, screen-side down. Meanwhile, Nokia’s new anti-fingerprint coating reduces smudges on metal and glass and unsightly outer seams are hidden thanks to a unique all-in-one microUSB connector.
Materials are of the finest quality. They include exquisite leather and precious stones. The Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte contains both. The select key for example is made from a single sapphire, which as one of the world’s most valued gemstones has a strong heritage and coveted appeal.
The Panels are crafted from premium leather sourced in eastern India. By avoiding mechanical embossing Nokia ensures that each product is totally unique .The fine layers of coating are applied to protect against everyday use and add an extra dash of finesse.
