Sony Ericsson F305 gets toyed with, previewed

Press / in the wild shots still not enough for you? Fret not, friends, as CNET had a chance to spend a few quality minutes with Sony Ericsson’s F305 slider and write up a few paragraphs of impressions. For starters, they seemed to prefer the white motif versus the black, and while a trio of games will reportedly be available to take advantage of the Motion Gaming controls, only a fishing title was on tap for demoing. It was noted that the phone required “vigorous shakes” in order to get the job done, and unfortunately, critics were less than enthused by how the game actually looked. Nevertheless, it’s probably worth a visit to see if SE’s next shaker has the chops to earn a spot in your handset collection.

Available in either Hearty Red or Noble Black the W910 is an HSDPA-enabled slider phone that features all the usual stats like Stereo Bluetooth, a built-in digital camera and dedicated music buttons plus a couple of hidden tricks up its sleeve.

As with all sliders, the screen dominates proceedings on the front of the model alongside a series of shortcut and menu keys and following in the footsteps of digital camera makers the phone features an auto rotating screen so you can get the most of out the landscape view when watching video.

Sony Ericsson PSP phone coming

Sony Ericsson games boss Peter Ahnegard has said the company has recently decided to move forward with plans to launch a PlayStation-branded mobile phone. The gaming phone will join the likes of Sony Ericsson’s Cyber-shot range of camera phones, and the Walkman range of music phones.

Speaking to Pocket Gamer, Ahnegard said that the final decision to move ahead with the project was made at Games Convention in Leipzig last week.
